Another Win in La Liga

September 25, 2012 Tuesday am Philippine Time

Original schedule of the Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano was Monday am Philippine time. I was anxiously waiting for it while working to keep me awake too, when I got the bad news, game has been postponed due to floodlight failure. All I remember was after that I can't keep myself awake at work. Anyways the game was scheduled Tuesday am our time, and unfortunately, was not able to watch it too. I did saw an update when I woke up in the middle of the night and knew Benzema and Ronaldo made it 0-2 for Real Madrid. Happy and I went back to sleep. According to news, Real's game was still not the A-game that it could have been, but it was better. It was difficult for them and even for Rayo as the game was being postponed to another 24 hours and so. But Real Madrid was more focused now, Iker Casillas was able to make some crucial save in a set-piece and Xavi Alonso too. Benzema started in place of Higuain and he scored in the 13th minute while Cristiano Ronaldo scored in a penalty. Just so glad that Whites got their second win in the League. Of course still too far to their rival Barcelona, but I know it's going to be one step at a time, they can make it, still too far to go.

What made me so happy after this too was when Iker Casillas posted a picture of him and Ronaldo in his official Facebook account discrediting the news that he had a row with the Portuguese. I am just so glad, they were two of my top faves anyways in Real.

September 27, Thursday am, Real Madrid had a game vs Millonarios, a friendly game for the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy. Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Iker Casillas did not play for this game but Kaka, Callejon, Morata and some players from Castilla did and it was just great. Kaka finally has his game with Real Madrid, and boy did he perform. He had 3 goals and 2 assists! The fulltime score was 8-0 and Callejon and Morata got 2 goals with Benzema with another one. I hope this will somewhat help Kaka for him to be provided the time. Mou did say that he saw it and was pleased with what Kaka and the others too. Just so happy.

Really having a bad time with my connection so I can't express more.. Hahaha.. Here's some pics from the Rayo and the Millonarios game.

Hala Madrid!!!

UCL Real Madrid 3-2 Manchester City

September 19, 2012 - 2:45 am Philippine Time

Was not able to see the game live on TV because of work, was checking live score updates though on some sites and wasn't good at first. Was not good technically because twice, Man City took the lead. They were up 2-1 in the 85th minute. Was working and I have someone over the phone and just as Man City took that lead, I really don't want to speak anymore. I was sad, knowing Real Madrid will have another defeat. And really, that's what I thought. But fortunately for me, they proved me wrong. During the last 5 minutes of the game, Benzema scored a goal to equalize! I said, "yes! draw was not bad at all now!". But Cristiano Ronaldo had something better in mind, he scored the winning goal in the 90th minute! I just can't stop smiling! Fulltime and Real Madrid took 3 points in their Group of Death in their first game vs Man City.

Checking the stats during the game, the Whites had really dominate, taking most of the possessions and attempting a lot of shots too. Cristiano Ronaldo actually had 10 attempts. with 3 on target. 2 of it was save by Hart. Even the likes of Marcelo, Higuain had some good attempts too but Hart was there to save Man City. It was a shocker when Man City took the first lead at 68th minute. Good thing Marcelo scored too. Watch the replay of the game after work, and I'm just too glad. It was indeed a good game by Real Madrid. Okay, it might not still be perfect, but this win, I'll take it.

The one that I love the most though was of course, Cristiano Ronaldo's game winner and his goal celebration! Hahaha how I miss seeing that! and what's more to it was when Jose Mourinho do exactly the same getting out of the Real dugout. That- was priceless for Real Madrid fans like me.

A lot had been said (as expected), but I don't care. I'm thankful with the win. And I hope this will somewhat bring the confidence back to them on to their next game in La Liga.

I actually had a blog, out of sadness, after that game against Sevilla, but wasn't able to post it and really finish it. Here it is;

"I can't technically think of any appropriate title for my this blog. After Real Madrid losing to Sevilla with 0-1, after me failing to watch it, all I'm feeling right now is heartache. Okay, that must have been too exaggerated, but...you see, it feels terrible. There's a lot of expectations to our team, we are just way out from behind of Barcelona, after them just winning against Getafe- the team that beat Real Madrid on the league's first week, after them winning with their main man Messi coming off the bench, played 30 minutes and managed to score 2 goals, after the controversy surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo, it was all upsetting. I was so upset I don't want to see whatever the press and haters have to say. How I'm sure their having the best days of their life, saying something about Ronaldo. Even if I didn't see the game, I'm sure Ronaldo was sad, he always was especially if he's disappointed with himself. I'm quite certain he's sad (again perhaps)
because he failed, the team failed to get that 3 points. That just make me sad. The teasing of some Barca fans at work nor Ronaldo's haters don't upset me, what they have to say don't matter (sorry), the feeling though that Real Madrid were upset too, is something that I'm feeling too. But I know, it's still a long way to go. It is, I'm not sure yet how they can recover but they're one of the best team, they know it. Me, yeah I'll always include them still in my prayers, always."

That feeling though was long gone after this 100 UCL win of Real Madrid and Ronaldo's 151st goal in 151 RM appearances. And I can't wait now to see them again...

Post notes;

I love Cristiano Ronaldo's interview after the game. He said " "Everybody has the right to be sad," he said. "Have you never been unhappy? I also have the right to feel that way, it is normal. Tonight it is important that people are happy, the fans and not only the team. The team won, we are good, we began the Champions League well, nothing else is important. [But] I am not sorry for what I said." - he is what we call in the Philippines, "prangka".. LOL and I love him for being like that.

There's this issue too of Iker Casillas not celebrating Ronaldo's goal.

I'm pretty sure Casillas have his reasons. I read that it was because a fan of him died and he didn't celebrate any of the goals scored by Real Madrid (and this was posted on his Official Facebook Account too). We feel for Iker for that lost and prayers for the family of that said fan.

Speaking of celebrations though, how about Ronaldo and Mourino's celebration???

and all the others (including tennis star Rafael Nadal!!!)

How I missed all of these. :)

Updates On CR7

Everyone would have known by now that Cristiano Ronaldo had already said his side (at least a little part of it) on his outburst about his sadness. But just for the benefit of summarizing some important part of the story as well, also of course of other things that was said too by others, here's some of it.

On September 4, 2012 Cristiano Ronaldo posted on his twitter (or whosay account) account this message;

"That I am feeling sad and have expressed this sadness has created a huge stir. I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case. At this point, I just want to guarantee to the Real Madrid fans that my motivation, dedication, commitment and desire to win all competitions will not be affected. I have too much respect for myself and for Real Madrid to ever give less to the club than all I am capable of. Abrazos to all madridistas."

This is when, with the media going gaga over the reason on why he is sad, pointing to Ronaldo wanting more money, trying to renew his contract and something to that effect. I truly appreciate Ronaldo, for what he said in his statement was still for the Madridista, assuring us his love for the team and us fans. I felt he truly means to win games for Real Madrid and nothing more. He didn't have to clear his name to those media people what was the reason why he had said such things, he only thinks of the fans, and that was more than great for us.

I read that Xavi Alonso and Gonzalo Higuain was also asked about Ronaldo's sadness. Although Xavi statement was nothing less than supportive but is safe, Higuain also was safe saying he just heard it with the press and Ronaldo didn't really talked about it. Iker Casillas did say something about it and from what I had felt from his statement, he is more particular in saying that everyone had the right to felt sad, even popular footballer like Ronaldo, I felt he meant to say, that's just normal, Ronaldo was just like everyone else who have feelings... I saw too on a post from a twitter account of Real Madrid Info that Jose Mourinho called Cristiano and had said his support, however, when Mourinho attended the UEFA Forum for Elite Club Coaches, he asked not to be asked about Ronaldo. The President of Real Madrid however assured that Ronaldo will not be leaving the club and said that there are some other reason behind his sadness while Sami Khedira said that maybe Ronaldo just wants the public to know it. Karim Benzema just like Higuain had said he knew nothing of it and said he hasn't seen Ronaldo unhappy. Some other people had said their piece about it (some whom I couldn't care less), well unfortunately because the media were all asking it to them. Even Messi was asked and he asked too not to be asked about it.

Something came up though that Manchester United's Alex Ferguson will asked the Man U to pay whatever it takes to get Cristiano Ronaldo back in Man U. Hmmm, if that's true, that is sweet. But it will all depend on Ronaldo I guess, if he really have his reason to leave Madrid in the future.

If your a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, this is something you will appreciate. Wayne Rooney had shared the story behind his red card against Portugal and Ronaldo's wink. It's an amazing story to tell. He also said there how Ronaldo admires his own reflection and how hard working he is, how seriously Ronaldo wants to be the best player although he already is. I thank Rooney for sharing that. And I thank Rooney for being a good friend to Ronaldo. With this said, I remember Ronaldo's commercial over at Nike before;

I love the last part of it.. "But you know what, I love that guy."

I love Cristiano Ronaldo. :)

Hala Madrid!

Break (or not really) for Real Madrid

Real Madrid's next game in La Liga is on the 15th of September 22:00 CET against Sevilla and then in the Champions League on the 18th of September 20:45 CET against Manchester City. Both games of course is of great importance since right now, the Whites are trailing against their rival Barca who's ahead of 5 points and also with the Champions League having to survive the group of death and starting it off with a strong Manchester City. But it wasn't entirely a break for some players as they had to play too for their respective national teams for the World Cup Qualifying Tournaments. Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe, Fabio Coentrao plays for Portugal, Higuain and Di Maria for Argentina, Casillas, Xavi, Ramos for Spain, then Benzema for France, Modric to Croatia and Ozil for Germany. I'm probably not aware of the other players who had played too, but I'm just glad to share that all of them had won, at least their teams has. Ozil led Germany with a brace, Ronaldo with an equalizer for Portugal, Higuain and Di Maria scored too for Argentina, how really cool was that! It only shows Real Madrid really have quality players!

Here's the highlights of the Portugal vs Luxembourg game:

Here's the game of Germany and Ozil's brace:

And Argentina's Higuain and Di Maria goals:

Really happy for all of them, but I can't wait to see the Whites again!

Support for Cristiano Ronaldo

Since Cristiano Ronaldo had said in an interview that he was sad, many speculations had risen up, most of them a little too negative for Cristiano Ronaldo. As I have watched though the interview, it was in Spanish but was translated of course, it clearly says that Ronaldo was only a "little upset, it's a professional thing (and not personal just in case people will think it's about his relationship with Irina) and said the club knows why. He didn't exactly said he was upset nor sad with Real Madrid right??? But anyways, people have judged Ronaldo just the same, put words in his mouth and all we had to do (fans that is) was to wait for the next following news.

I am just so glad though to see some message of support from those people who knew Ronaldo well. First was when Alvaro Arbolea changed his profile picture over at twitter with him and Cristiano Ronaldo and then posted a message about how the media was taking it. Next to that was to see Kaka giving his support and assuring Ronaldo his teammates from Real Madrid have their support with him too. Kaka said he wants Ronaldo to be well and happy. That I am glad to hear.

I do hope so that Real Madrid Team Captain Iker Casillas will also show his support to Ronaldo or at least say that it's not because of a rift between him and Ronaldo that was causing the latter's sadness. I also hope Marcelo will do the same, since they were really saying his relationship with Ronaldo was also one of the reason for it. If it is, then I can only hope it will be fixed, I've seen them all together and know they've been great friends.

What's good about this though, was Ronaldo was unhappy and he still managed to scored 2 goals. I can't wait for him to be happy and fight with Real Madrid.. LOL!

Hope everything will all be all well for Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, Kaka, Marcelo and the rest of Real Madrid. Really hope it's matchday already. Hope Real Madrid will win so as Portugal.

That's the only thing I can do now. Hope.

Why Ronaldo is Unhappy

For the benefit of my fellow Cristiano Ronaldo fans and friends here in the Philippines, I will summarize the story that had transpired after the match of Real Madrid against Granada, the stories as well of Kaka and some more. This includes the links as well to where I had read it..

So why was Cristiano Ronaldo upset?

A friend of mine who was a fan of Kaka texted that maybe it was because of what Real Madrid was treating Kaka as to why Cristiano Ronaldo was sad. Apparently, that was one of the supposed theory. Kaka was left out as the season had started for Real. Kaka and Ronaldo was closed and Ronaldo even said before (during their friendlies before league starts) that he wanted Kaka to stay. Also there was this story that Real Madrid also didn't stand up for their players like what happened to Fabio Coentrao, who's also a close teammate to Ronaldo in RM and in Portugal, when Fabio got banned for 4 games after their lost game against Getafe and it was said that the management didn't fight for it. Then there's also the rumors that Marcelo and Ronaldo was having a slight row when Marcelo had expressed he wants Iker Casillas to win the Ballon D' Or. Then there's also this reason that Ronaldo might be sad because he didn't win the UEFA Best Player Award (which he denied in an interview saying there are more important things than that). Then just read again on tweeter that it was because Ronaldo wants to attend his father's death anniversary and go to Portugal and miss the game against Granada but he wasn't allowed by the management. All those of course, not coming from Ronaldo but were all speculations. There was even a report from a Spanish newspaper that Ronaldo had talked to the bosses of Real Madrid to say his not happy with Real anymore.

But since all of this is not coming from Ronaldo, I'm not going to entertain any of these. The truth was, I had entertained it already and it had given me so much mixed emotions and sadness in particular. I had noticed, just when I'm about to be happy because of Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo, then I'll be sad because of them too! Ha! was that painful or what??? But more than anything else I do hope his fine, he seems to be in real pain the last time. Oucccch!

Story on Kaka;

Anyways, the story on Kaka was also upsetting me. Even though I hadn't seen that much of Kaka, I like him and he's one of my faves. He sure looks like a good person inside and out. There's this story when they said Kaka did not celebrate with the team after their Super Cup success and didn't take pictures with them, which was said got him penalized by Real. The transfer date was closed and Kaka have no choice but to stay at Real. When I read though one news from Spain, Kaka still wants to stay with Real although he said "it was like starting all over again". He promised to work hard more so that he'll secure a spot again to the Whites XI. Knowing Kaka, I know he can do it. I'm also pleased to read something from Mourinho that Kaka nor anyone else is a dead weight. He also said "there will be a time when Kaka will be an option once more". That  gives me hope. I am looking forward to see Kaka play for them once again.

Why do they have to asked them about Ronaldo???

I am a bit amazed of how reporters from football always ask everyone about someone else. Saw something from Villanova (Barcelona coach) when he was asked about Ronaldo's sadness. Of course he said he don't want to worry himself anymore with it. Honestly, why should he? Then there's another one asked about it too, Valencia midfielder David Albelda and said he is unhappy too but said he don't want to comment on other players. It was kind of funny.

Something to look forward too; Next match for Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo.

There's a very good news to this though, as Real Madrid had won against Granada, Cristiano Ronaldo also creates some more records. He scored his 150th goal in 149th appearances and was the 9th among all-time Real Madrid scorers. So that's something to celebrate of course. Here's his record with Real Madrid;

Real Madrid vs Granada - CR7 With A Brace

September 3, 2012 4:30 am Monday Philippine Time

After claiming the Super Cup Trophy, Real Madrid showed they were back on track after getting their first three points for La Liga against Granada. Cristiano Ronaldo led the Whites with two goals and Higuain added another one for a 3-0 win in Santiago Bernabeu.

I thought the game the Whites played could have been better. They had dominate for most of the time and had more possessions with more chances especially when Modric starts for them and was able to create some good plays but it didn't really look as though they were back in their old form. Some noticed it and I just have to agree. But still they were able to pull up a win especially when Ronaldo scored his 149th and 150 goal for Real Madrid in 149 appearances. That was some feat and I just have to be more than glad for him. He first scored off a pass of Callejon and even though he was at a very tight angle near the post and a defender in front of him, he was able to pull up a shot that went between the legs of the Granada goalkeeper. The second goal then came during the second half on the 53rd minute this time from a pass off Di Maria, Ronaldo's first shot was saved but he easily redeemed himself and follow-up the shot for a goal. However during the 60th minute, Cristiano received a foul from Granada player Borja Gomez, getting his second yellow card to be sent out of the game. Ronaldo was wincing in pain after this. He was able to stand up, then after another shot that went just wide, he was subbed off by Higuain. As I have read, that was probably the earliest Cristiano was subbed off during a league game and only his 10th overall in 104 La Liga appearances. It was something that made me worried and can only hope he'll be okay. Even during the game when he was being shown at the match box, he's still wincing in pain.

I am happy though for this as finally, I had been seeing Ronaldo scores some goals, but one thing I did notice after this (and even with Ronaldo's past two goals against Barca), I wasn't seeing the Ronaldo who usually celebrates so much with his goals, running around, yelling, meeting his teammates with joy and all that. And I thought, Ronaldo probably was just a changed man. I am so wrong. After the game and when he talked to the press, he was asked (since they have noticed too) why he wasn't celebrating his goals. He answered "maybe it's because I'm a little upset, I am sad when I don't celebrate my goals". He also said it wasn't because of Iniesta winning the UEFA Best Player saying that there are more important things than that, and also said "the people at the club knows why" and had begged to say anything more.

This had just made me sad. Speculations then came from press from Spain and some more, saying a lot of things, putting words in Ronaldo's mouth about why he had been upset with the club. Even saw some tweets that Ronaldo want to leave Real Madrid and had talked to the club president. The good thing was Ronaldo didn't say anything else about this. He had express his emotions, he was happy with his 150th goal feat, he was more than happy to have helped the team won, because for him, that's the most important thing, he didn't say why he is upset, but he didn't also say all the other things they think he said, and for that I am more feeling safe. I know in my heart Ronaldo loved Real Madrid. And he's going to do everything still for the team. I will have faith on him with this. But I hope more than ever that he'll not be sad and upset anymore. I hope to see his goal celebrations again. I hope to see him happy again.

There's going to be an international game for him for Portugal and though he was hurt on this game, he's still going to play for the national team, saying that it is important and he want to help the team. I'm looking forward to that.
